Stock and Price Alerts

Stock and price alerts allow you to track inventory and price changes for electronic components from authorized distributors. In the Stock and Price Alerts tab of the My Account page, you can add, edit, and delete alerts. By default, alerts are sent once, after your inputted criteria is met.

To Add Stock and Price Alerts

From Search Results

  1. Sign in to your account. If you do not yet have an account, you can create one.
  2. Perform a product search.
  3. On the search results, click the Create Stock and Price Alerts button. (If you are not signed in, you will be invited to sign in or regsiter for an account.)
  4. On the Stock and Price Alerts pop-up, select your alert criteria. Click here for help with the pop-up.
  5. After setting your alert criteria and saving each alert, close the pop-up.

An email message will be sent when your selected criteria is met.

From a Product Page

  1. Sign in to your account. If you do not yet have an account, you can create one.
  2. In the description section of the part detail page, click the Create Stock and Price Alerts button. (If you are not signed in, the button will indicate you need to sign in.)
  3. On the Stock and Price Alerts pop-up, select your alert criteria. Click here for help with the pop-up.
  4. After setting your alert criteria and saving each alert, close the pop-up.

An email message will be sent when your selected criteria is met.

On the Stock and Price Alerts pop-up, you can select your stock and price alert criteria.

Stock Alerts

Create a stock alert if you would like to be notified when the total stock quantity is equal to or greater than a certain amount. To add a stock alert:

  1. Click the + button.
  2. Enter a stock quantity, or enter zero to be notified when the part goes out of stock.
    • Select the Above arrow to be notified when the total number of pieces in stock is greater than or equal to your quantity.
    • Select the Below arrow to be notified when the total number of pieces in stock is equal to or less than your quantity.
  3. Click Confirm or Cancel.
  4. Edit a saved alert by clicking Edit or delete it by clicking Delete.
  5. To add more stock alerts, click the + button.

Price Alerts

Create a price alert if you would like to be notified of a price change. To add a price alert:

  1. Click the + button.
  2. Enter the quantity of pieces that you would like to buy. This number is used to determine the matching price break.
    • Select the Increase arrow to be notified of a price increase.
    • Select the Decrease arrow to be notified of a price decrease.
  3. In the Amount field, enter your desired percentage of price increase or decrease. For example, if you have selected to be notified of a price decrease and entered 10%, you will be notified when the minimum price for that part drops by 10%.
  4. Click Confirm or Cancel.
  5. Edit a saved alert by clicking Edit or delete it by clicking Delete.
  6. To add more price alerts, click the + button.

To Manage Existing Alerts

From the My Account page, select the Stock and Price Alerts tab. This tab provides management options such as adding, editing, and deleting alerts.

  • Add Alerts: Add a new alert by searching for the part using the site search box. On the search results page, click the Create Alerts button. This opens the Stock and Price Alerts pop-up.
  • Edit Alerts: To edit the alerts for a component, click the Edit button. This opens the Stock and Price Alerts pop-up.
  • Delete Alerts: To delete an alert, click the Delete button at the end of the alert row. To delete multiple alerts, select the alerts using the checkboxes and then click the Delete Alerts button.

Watching Status

Parts being tracked with a stock or price alert appear in part search results with a Watching button. For these parts, the Watching button replaces the Create Stock and Price Alerts button. When pressed, the Watching button opens the Stock and Price Alerts pop-up where the alert can be edited or deleted.
