Manufacturer Authorizations
Only inventory that a distributor is contractually authorized by the manufacturer to sell shall be displayed on TrustedParts.com. A distributor must provide TrustedParts.com proof of authorization for each manufacturer that will be included in its inventory feed along with the geographic region(s) covered by the authorization.
Proof of authorization can consist of:
- Cover letter of franchise agreement with the manufacturer.
- Letter on manufacturer's letterhead or an email from the manufacturer's official web domain stating that the distributor is authorized/franchised.
- Being listed as authorized/franchised on manufacturer’s web site.
Please note that the proof of authorization must clearly indicate which region(s) the authorization is for.
Unauthorized distributor inventory identified by TrustedParts.com will not be rendered on the site.
TrustedParts.com automatically provides periodic authorization reports to each distributor for review. Distributors may also request access to the TrustedParts.com Distributor Portal which allows them to retrieve up-to-date manufacturer authorizations along with other metrics and information regarding their participation.
Requests to TrustedParts.com for changes to authorizations must be submitted through the Authorized Manufacturers Report of the Distributor Portal.
