Distributor Analytics Reports

TrustedParts.com captures terabytes of data that anonymously track user interaction with its platform. This includes product views along with search and click activity.

While not disclosing proprietary user information, we make this activity available to participating distributors via aggregated analytics reports. These reports are automatically emailed each month. They are also available via our distributor portal.

Our reports segment information by user type, search channel, and types of links clicked. Here is a detailed explanation of the columns included in distributor analytics reports:

Website Searches

The total number of single-part searches conducted on TrustedParts.com is carefully tracked to measure user activity.

BOM Searches

Users performing multi-part searches on TrustedParts.com contribute to the total count of recorded BOM searches.

Product Category Searches

Each time a product appears in the parametric search table on TrustedParts.com’s product category pages, it counts toward the total number of product category searches.

A few popular in-stock products are displayed by default when users load these pages. Users can refine their results by searching or using parametric filters, with every displayed product increasing the recorded search total.

DSS Searches

Searches submitted through the TrustedParts.com Distributor Stock Search (DSS) are monitored and included in the overall search data.

API Searches

TrustedParts.com records API searches from manufacturers and suppliers, Data Syndication partners, OEMs, and other customers.

Manufacturer Searches (API)

Electronic component manufacturers and suppliers generate API searches, which are logged and analyzed to track engagement.

Data Syndication Searches (API)

API searches submitted by Data Syndication partners are recorded as part of the overall search metrics.

Customer Searches (API)

OEMs and other end customers submitting API searches contribute to this category’s total count.

Products Displayed

The number of products shown in search results or returned to API users is closely tracked to provide insights into product visibility.

TrustedParts.com tracks clicks on "Buy," "View," and "Datasheet" links.

Clicks on "Buy," "View," or other product result links are recorded to measure user interaction with product listings.

Whenever a user clicks a "Datasheet" link, the system logs it into the total datasheet interactions.

Types of User Searches in Each Report

Each report categorizes user search data into the following sections:

  • All System Searches
  • All System Searches (Actual Users)
  • Searches with Results (Actual Users)
  • Totals Per Company for Actual User Searches that Returned Results

All System Searches

This total includes all searches that the system processes, covering both actual users and automated bots or crawlers. This dataset also includes web page crawling by search engines such as Google.

All System Searches (Actual Users)

Only searches believed to be conducted by actual users are counted here. Searches detected to be from bots or crawlers are excluded.

Searches with Results (Actual Users)

This filters the All System Searches (Actual Users) totals down to searches where actual users received relevant part results. Searches detected to be from bots or crawlers are excluded.

Totals Per Company for Actual User Searches that Returned Results

This filters the Searches with Results (Actual Users) totals down to searches where your offers were included in the results for the indicated manufacturer. Searches detected to be from bots or crawlers are excluded.

The Trusted Source for Authorized Inventory

TrustedParts.com was created by ECIA in collaboration with participating distributors as a free service to support the authorized electronic components industry by giving users access to aggregated price and availability data for genuine parts from only authorized sources.

While other inventory aggregation sites may include data from sources that are not authorized by the manufacturer, ECIA works extensively on an ongoing basis to verify that price and availability data displayed on TrustedParts.com is only for products for which the distributors are authorized/franchised. This is why TrustedParts.com is the best source for searching the authorized channel for the electronic components you need.
Membership in ECIA is not required to participate on the site.
